Happy Boxing Day = Happy Reunion

Finally had a reunion with the 38 people after a long while. We had a fun day out, from walking around at Iluma to steamboat at Xian De Lai to chilling out at Chamber 82. =)

Had a real enjoyable day out, havent had such laughters for a long long while. What's more unexpected was everyone in the group truly enjoyed ourselves. Members and partners could all come as one, that's something which is real rare. I *heart* them! Presents exchanging, indian pokering, singing, chatting, picture taking and many more.

Oh yah, this year's Christmas is extremely memorable to me coz for the first time I had such a disgusting drink. Lol.. Ever tried beer+fruit punch+orange juice+soggy mixed nuts (soaked in the mixed drink for a good 5 - 10mins)? I did, on boxing day 2009 and I puked. How memorable. Wahahahaha... But all was for the fun of it. ^ ^

Merry Christmas

All I want for Christmas is YOU~~~~
Wishing everyone a Merry Merry Christmas! Have a blessed year ahead!

This Christmas, it's slightly different, a mixture of friends and family gatherings!
BBQ with friends on Christmas eve, the chatting overnight, reliving of our young moments once again with the sparklers, fun and laughters. The feeling is different as we grow older I guess. I learn to cherish such hard to come by moments more than when I was younger. *Hearts them loads*

Went for a Christmas gathering at my aunt's new place. Had dinner, watched movie, chatted and stuff. It's so different because usually dinner is at my place and everyone will come here and we will chat, have dinner and play with sparklers on special occassions like lantern festivals or christmas. :) *Hearts them many many*

Unspoken worries

I havent blogged at such timing for a long while. Today i feel the sudden urge. Came home happily only to see and hear all these things. I wonder when all these can stop. It's been the dunno how many times that I came home just to hear mum and dad say that bro met an accident.

Today is the worst. Heard from them that his car hit the metal railings on the expressway and the car bonnet was totally crashed. To reform it, it takes more than a month. None of us had any idea how this happened. No, he did not meet an accident with another car. In any case, luckily he was not injured. To put it bluntly, I think he "escaped death". With the bonnet totally crashed and he is ok, I really thank God.

I have a bad feeling and I hope it doesnt come true. Does anyone know if the driver has to be liable for smashing the railings on the expressway, in the event of an accident?

I hope things will be back on track after everything. Sighs. The two of them just nagged and nagged and nagged, especially my dad. To me, I feel that as long he is fine, that's enough. I know they are worried but no point sighing and nagging to me when my bro doesnt listen. It's just pressurising. >.<

Long Time Friend (s)

I just ended the call with Frederick. It's been awhile since we last spoke on the phone. Every communication we had previously were either through msn or phone sms and it seems "so on the surface communication". It's quite nice to be able to speak like the old times again, from chatting about some particular thing to almost everything under the sun for a few hours. =) Probably right now, driving lessons have become a common topic for us. Maybe coz I have been through driving lessons at the same school - BBDC.

I still rem how the 2 of us used to chat like nobody's business on the phone until his mum spoke to me, asked me everything about my background (the school I study in, where I live, how many siblings I have etc) and my mum would pick up the phone on the other side and asked both of us to sleep. Haha. Anw, that's in the past. Haha..

And he is not the only one. I met up with tri^|uv today. Come to think of it... Cheers to our 12 years friendship. Hehe. It's been a long long while since the 3 of us hang out together for a meal and catch up. Love them to bits still, even though we are now busy with our own lives. The topic just goes on and on. Though the meet up was short, it was still nice to still be able to meet up amidst our different schedules.

Something new

This weekend has been an eventful one and time really flies.
It was just friday and I was heading Malaysia with the guys, unknowingly, tmr is monday again.
Friday please come again!!

Talking abt Malaysia, I ate the most seafood during this trip. They were seriously delicious lar! lol.. Had my first "road trip", travelled 2hours or more to reach.. i seriously wanna see the fireflies man.. Hopefully we will have the chance next time round. =) Visited pm's "house" - Jusco (insider's joke) and sang ktv there. Hehe..

It has been a tiring weekend too eh.. from malaysia trip to photoshoot to blading @ ecp. All my first time! Hahaha.. Haven't been on a road trip with friends before, havent been to a studio for phototaking before and blading is the last thing I thought I would try. I did all these within 1 weekend. >.< Had the most number of falls, now my buttock, backbone and everywhere you can think of, are aching mad. Hopefully the next time I go, I can come home with less aches and scratches. Im thinking how I will manage tmr, I need to climb flights of stairs before I can reach my office everyday.. I think tmr will be quite torturous.

And I am finally going to "The Line" at Shangri-la! =DDDDDDD (for the company dinner ^ ^) I feasted on saturday and shed the calories off today but everything is gonna come back again tmr. Goodness!

Im toying with the idea of taking up a part time job. Hmm.. shall go check it out on Tuesday before deciding ba. Ok, I feel really drained. Shall let my hair dry faster and head bed soon. Till then peeps!

The odd one out

A happy event turned "ugly". Haha. Those who know what I mean, will know. =p
I guess additional persons to the comfort group makes the atmosphere weird. Its not that the person is outcasted but I still find it disturbing to be accomodating to another person at the expense of all of us. Maybe I am petty? But I dont care. I just find everything so unreasonable towards us in this case.

The quote "Close friends tend to take things for granted" is really true. and now I find that it is really that case. I thought the weekend would be a happy and happening one but to my disappointment, the whole mood was dampened since Thursday night. Oh wells, sometimes things just don't go our way, what to do? I just need to whine about it. I will get over. *lol*

I hope the upcoming road trip to malaysia will be a good one and no more dampened mood. *Keeping my fingers crossed* and I hope what we hope will not come true, wont come true.

The drive to IMM

Was on the way to Plaza Singapura with my cousin, aunt and mum when my hip aunt suggested "eh why not we go home and drive the car out? then we go IMM instead?" This suggestion came about when we reach Yishun because my aunt was saying that she dislike going to town area on a Saturday. So we alighted and headed to my home to get my dad's car.

Checked the routes again to make sure that this time round, I dont end up in AMK Hub again. Haha. Anyway.. drove there and suddenly remembered the supposed trip to IMM with Lena and Liying the other time. And how I landed up in AMK Hub when I saw "Yio Chu Kang Road". Haha. That was the first time I drove out without my dad after getting my driving licence. How time flies! Come to think of it, it's been near 2 years! Ok, another 3 more months maybe. Haha.

Suddenly feel so old already. >.<

End of One Semester!

Yayness!! Finally end of exams. 4 paper is enough to torture me to the max. Studying after work is so so tiring. All I hope for is to be able to clear all the 4 modules. God bless me many many! Hah..

I shall enjoy myself for this coming 1 month before the release of my results.
Meeting ups, celebrations, BBQs (LKS and TCSS included =P) , Malaysia trips... wait for me! ^ ^

Shall end for today. Feeling abit tired.. Have been sleeping so so early for the past few nights.
Blog again! =) Btw... I still want to wish 2 important persons again even though we already had the celebrations..

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MUM!
HAPPY ADVANCED BDAY DAD!!

*LKS = Lim Ka Si
TCSS = Talk Cock Sing Song

New Beginning

4th day and I think I am feeling good! =)

I quite like the new workplace, new colleagues and new job scope but I am still adjusting myself to it. The feeling is so much better than the previous one. My mum said all I did was complain and complain everyday after work from the previous job. Hahaha. After the bad experience, I finally realised that it is important to do something which you are interested in and not just any other jobs as things may get worst instead.

I managed to take a photo of half of my desk. Shall take more next Monday and show you guys the very high tech phone that they are using. The phone with super good connection that you can even answer it when you are in the other building. Hahaha.

Juliana, my boss, is a pretty nice lady. She really taught me things from scratch as she knew that I had no marketing background and told me that she will let me learn from the basics so that I know what are the ground works in this job before proceeding on.

Tasked with planning itinerary for a group of customers, designing a brochure for the company, sourcing for new ideas of gifts and meeting up with the respective vendors is definitely something new to me and very challenging. This 6 mths will probably be a good chance for me to pick up new skills and be a platform to entering the marketing line and industries other than an association. ^ ^

Was on the transport to Jurong East today and I dont quite feel like heading home.. Messaged friends to ask them out.. Muahahah.. In the end, I headed to AMK to meet Gene and Bang joined subsequently. It was a nice meet up. Catching up and all the lame mind games kept us laughing nonstop. ^ ^ It's been quite awhile since the real 38 club meet up, wonder if that day will ever come again. Haa.

Something which I did from the new Mcdonalds monopoly game. Hahaha. Check it out.
"NEW" Mr Mcdonalds saying Hi~~

School has been demoralising every now and then and at times, so so feel like giving up. Sighs. The communication modules are tough la! I hope I can make it through this semester. Shall head to the library tomorrow.

Good News? Maybe.

I so so feel like whining so if you are not interested, you can press atl + F4. =) I think the problem that lies with me is that I hope to get a permanent full time job instead of being offered a temporary or contract job. That probably is the concern of many people?

I have been thinking it through today after the interview, they told me that its gonna be a 6-7mths contract position with possibility of converting to a permanent job (again). This time round the offer seems much much better than the CDL one. It is position dealing with marketing communications and assisting in the various aspect of marketing and abit of communications in the sense that they do require the candidate to do writing for newsletter and brochure. Definitely something related to what I am studying.. The timing and all is good but its location is farrrrr. It is at Tuas. -.-" The coy is a german mnc dealing with automotive spare parts and this is something new to me. Alot to learn.

I always believe that in life, when good things happen, bad things will happen too. In chinese, people always say "有得必有失" and i seriously find it very true. Because in this case, the job scope is what I feel like trying out and the working hours are good too (they actually have a choice of 9-6 or 8.15 to 5.15) BUT... this is a contract job and its located at Tuas. Damn. Why do one always need to make sacrifices for good things(I consider it a good thing since I have been offered a job for something which I always wanted to try out)? How irony but true. It makes me feel as though I am caught in a dilemma, yet once again. Irritating. I wonder why such process always have to repeat. In any case, the details of the contract has not been finalised yet so, lets see how it goes on Monday. I shall in the meantime, continue going for other interviews. =x

Had a hectic day today, from Science Park to Tuas to home to Holland V to home. Went for interviews and headed home. Met up with Jo and Zann for Jo's bday surprise. Hope you like it Jo! Haha.. =DD It's nothing very fanciful but I think it's nice to be able to spend the special day with someone close to us, so I told Zann that the best surprise would probably be Ryan turning up as our special guest. Hehehe and she agreed! Great minds think alike! Muahahaha. So girl, once again, now that the clock had striked 12 long ago, I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday! Enjoy yourself on this day. =)

*Joke of the day*
The Breko waiter was funny. The 3 of us stood there like fools when we asked the waiter to help us take a picture. We told him how to function the camera and he said ok.. so all 3 of us were smiling to be ready for the picture. Ended up, the guy press and stop, press and stop, and finally said that he cannot take the picture as nothing was captured. Guess what.. the guy took a video of the 3 of us, smiling there like 3 statues for a good 30sec - 1min. Faint. A replay of the video would definitely make us laugh out loud. =P

My friend commented the other day that I dont seem to be in good mood for the past week. I think it was attributed by the fact that I am not working and had nothing to do at home except interviews. I think jobless can make one feels restless too coz I realised that besides looking for job, watching tv, doing assignments, there is nothing else I can do but to sleep. I can sleep like a log these days and I can stay up till 7am in the morning. Maybe my biology clock is having a fun time now to be disoriented once awhile. Lol.

I think I did something wrong, I sent out too many resumes to the extent that I forgot which job is which! Omg lar! When people call, I will just "yah.. yah.. thats right.. may i know where you are calling from?" etc. This is so -.-".

Anw, I saw an interesting job advert on some forums and it says part time facilitator with schools. I saw it several times but it did not cross my mind that I can give it a shot during this period of time while landing myself into a full time job. So I went down today before class.. the interviewer was quite nice, he told me to try it out first to see if I am really suitable for this kind of job and then if everything is fine, we will move on from there. But of course, if a full time job comes along after that, I will go for the full time job. Guess this is the best that I can do as of now, rather that staying home everyday doing nothing except sleep. =)

Seems to me that many people are on a job hunt these days and getting a job interview itself is already very tough, lest landing into a permanent job. Well, wish all those who are in the same plight as me (on a jobhunt) good luck and may we all get a job soon. Very soon!

Disappointment yet again

I was looking forward to hearing the good news from CDL hr personnel today but to my anticipation, what I got was disappointment instead. Sighs. Things just dont always turn out the way we want it to be. I rejected the offer. From the way the hr said, there seemed to be no temp to perm and I decided not to take up the risk of a temp job which offers a.... hourly pay? Oh wells.. I must admit I was indeed disappointed. It's been so long since I last had a job which pays hourly and the rate is.... -.- Anyway.. will still need to press on. press on. press on. press on. press on. press on. press on. press on. press on. press on. press on.

Sunshine after the rain

No doubt I feel happy that I finally "see the light" after the bad experience previously, I feel rather confused.

It's a good thing that I got a job offer, something which I always wanted to try out on - Advertising and Promotions, Marketing Communications, the location is quite ideal too - Raffles and a big firm which I would like to pursue a career in. But it's a bad thing when the position was offered on a contractual basis for 2 months and then with the potential of conversion to a permanent position.

Maybe like what PM said - "There's always a tradeoff.".

Many things went through my mind when the manager offers me a position. I hope this time round, everything will be good. Shall see what the HR says tomorrow. If nothing goes wrong, I will start work on Monday. Very express right? Haha. I hope that the sun will still shine bright after this and good news will await for me tomorrow. =)

Communication

Communication plays a very big role in all kinds of relationships, be it friendship, kinship or love relationship.

Sometimes I wonder why they just cannot sit down and talk in a nice way. One tries to explain, the other tries to defend his own words. End up both cannot see eye to eye and no one is willing to compromise. At times, I also wonder if my brother knows what is compromising and accomodating. I know Dad has his difficulties and I am well aware of all these since I have been helping him in the preparation of those documents and stuff. But my brother doesn't see it that way. I know they have differences in thinking and each of them have certain issue which they are concerned with but all in all, it boils down to the same thing, if they look at the bigger picture.

Sighs, I can try to 安抚 one side but I am unable to 安抚 the other. Its like the meat in that sandwich. I know how both of them think and I can communicate with them both but I dunno how to let them both see things eye to eye. Hopefully my brother's friend can do a better job in getting both of them to see the light and resolve the issue asap.

And at such times, I have this bad thought. Do things always go the wrong way one after another when one is going through a rough patch? From the way things are, I really feel so. Sighs.

Friends' Concern

This morning when I was on the way to interview, I received a sms from Chun. Even though it's just a simple sms, it kind of brighten my day. The reason is because he heard from Perfect about the misfortunes I faced during work and he messaged to encourage me.

Here goes the sms: "Yoyo morning ah su! Heard about ur unfortunate events but dun worry coz pain is temporary, pride is forever! Jia you!"

It may not be something of a big deal but to me, a friend's concern is worth more than any monetary value. Therefore, I am thankful to have you guys, standing by me when I am going through a rough time now. A heartfelt thanks especially to the following =) :

*Jing Ying
- for showering me with your care and concern over the sms-es.

*GCC
- for listening to my grumblings when I have a bad time at work and be there for me when the times are tough.

*Milo
- for telling me that it's finally a burden off and that I should look forward.

*Perfect and Chun
- for the many encouragements that you guys have given me.

*Lena
- for your concern and telling me that if in need, can always look for you.

*Joleen
- for being my partner in job hunt! and of course, your encouragement that I should put the unhappy stuff behind and move on.

*Zann
- for giving me all the tips for the interviews and the various things I need to look out for.

This is the first time I am feeling lost upon working since graduation. There are times when I begin to wonder what I want to do and why did i make certain decisions. Oh wells, I may not be as strong as some may think and you guys definitely play a big role in encouraging me! I will be very very very proactive and hopefully can see the light soon! =)

End of Another Short Chapter of My Life

Today marks the end of this short 2 months chapter in my life (rather, my career life).

I tendered the resignation after thinking over the past 1 week when I am on sick leave. Have decided to end it off since it is causing me so much misery. I hope I am really moving on for the better. I have to be very, very, very proactive from today onwards. I can't afford to take any breaks though it will be good if I can have one. I have arranged for more upcoming interviews this week. I hope something good will come out of it. I am not expecting that I can get a job by the end of this week, I am just hoping that someone will keep calling me for interview and more interviews (be it first or 2nd interview).

My decision has definitely stunned most of you, and that includes my parents. I have been telling them that I am toying with the idea of tendering my resignation but have nvr put it to action. Mum was stunned when I called her just nw and told her that today is my last day.

As much as they have agreed today is my last day, I am still rather worried as there are no written documents to show that they have agreed to it, even though we talked about it. Yup, this is becoz I actually need to give a 2 weeks' written notice but becoz I was absent since last week due to medical, they have decided to use that to offset the 2 weeks' notice and let me go off earlier on the account that there are no outstanding projects with me. Just keeping my fingers crossed ba.

Now really must pray hard hard that I can get a job asap, at least by the end of October. Hopefully God will bless me this time round.

My Cute Friend - JO

I know JO will kill me when he sees this entry but I thought its really cute of him.. And seriously JO, do you know that you brightened our night when we had this conversation with you? Haha... =p So i decided to blog about it.

Here goes the abstract of the conversation between JO and GCC. =D

GCC: hey.. let u choose between these few destination: 1. Kukup, 2. Malacca, 3. KL, 4. Genting, 5. Ubin. and u need to take a boat ride for Kukup.

JO: Genting then

GCC: U sure abt Genting? U need to take a boatride to Genting too. It takes about an hour plus for the boat ride and its sampan kind.. for Kukup, it takes about 2hrs..

JO: Oh crap..

By now, you should know that there are no option of boatride to Genting.. HEHEHEHE.. =DDDD

KTV Time with Family =D

I have a happening Aunt Kym who asked me to book the KTV room at the Community Centre right after our singing session last Sunday and even said want to have a bbq etc.

I must say the the experience at the C.C "wowed" me. When we hear "C.C", the first thing that crossed my cousins and my mind was.... "must be all the oldies". But it turned out otherwise! Besides having new songs, the pricing is damn good lar! So next time if we want to go singing, can I suggest that we be neighbourhood aunties and uncles? =p Its a cheap deal lor! $33 for 3hrs of singing and there's a total of 9 pax. Haha. Anw, I did enjoy myself. But sometimes I hope they will stop asking me to sing hokkien song with my half bucket of pail hokkien. So i trained my "successor" - XH and Justin ^ ^ So u guys better get ready for the session next Saturday.

And yes, I am going again next Saturday. Lol. Alright. Till then again.

Flu bug

For the first time, the flu bug hit me hard. Today is the 5th day. I have been asked by my colleagues to go home and rest after that heard me coughing. Think they are real scared of being infected by me as they kept thinking that there is a high possibility of me getting H1N1, even though the doc says its just a more powerful flu virus. Guess people are just paranoid about it.

Anyways, I was asked by my colleagues to stay home since I havent recover and in the end, I went on a half day leave today to go home and rest. Boring~~~

Happy Mid Autumn = Happy Day

I am happy coz blogspot editing layout is finally back to normal.
I am happy coz I finally spent the Saturday afternoon out myself doing some grooming.
I am happy coz I had a great family dinner today (without Bro though).
I am happy coz I had great companions for candles, sparklers and movie.

The past month has been shitty.

Yes and I really do mean shitty. I am glad this mid autumn brought me some happy memories at last. Work is shitty, making me so demoralised that I sometimes felt like giving up the idea of changing job. But I know I need to hang on. Dad and Bro dropped 2 bombshells to me on the same day, telling me that they have quitted their job. Seriously, I nearly fainted but luckily, Dad has already found a job and as for Bro, he told me that he is going into the property line. I really hope that something good will happen to him. And lastly, I hope something good will happen to me too! Good in the sense that I get good job so that I can leave that "hell" place and no fail modules again for this coming sem.

Many a times, I told myself not to slack but coming home from that shitty place just makes me so shagged everyday. Getting scolded for nothing and nvr gotten any apologies is not what I am there for. I know work is like that but I guess he has to understand that there is a limit to my tolerance level. Working until a point of time when I just said ok and orh to everything that was being passed/said to me is so not me, be it right or wrong. Yes, this is how shitty it is. No sense of contentment or happiness there. Sometimes I ask myself why did I land in such a place? And just feel like quitting on the spot but I need to hang on. =.=

Okok, enough of the shitty passage in this entry. I am kinda looking forward to tomorrow.
KTV session with my beloved family again. Haha. And not forgetting... Phobia2! Wait for me!! ^ ^

Healthy Regime

Healthy Regime

After talking about it for so long and dilly dallying about getting it started, the healthy regime finally began! Completed my first 3.2km with LY at the new Woodlands Park Connector Network! (Though its only a walk, for a start. :p) It feels so much like probably 1 or 2 yrs back when we both were on our healthy regime of swimming, gymming or running in stadium back then. Hopefully we can maintain it this time round. School and work has drained both of us and gradually "no time" became an excuse for not working out anymore. Its normal and think many of us will agree on this. Anyway, we have decided to make it a point to go for the healthy regime every sunday, hopefully we can keep it this way. :p I wanted to upload some pics which we took but somehow, blogger does not allow me to do so, blame it on the screwed up layout. Haha.

Its gonna be a rather exciting last quarter of the year. I foresee new challenges ahead, hopefully I can take on these challenges one by one. Praying hard that someone will call me very very soon and I can bid the current workplace goodbye. And yes, I have been actively looking for a job these days. I gave myself chance to know the workplace and its environment better but I really cannot take it when I have been assigned programming tasks. It's torturous! when I have no tiny bit of interest in that.

Upcoming events from next week onwards is gonna be full of excitement too.

1. Upcoming flea at SMU.
Yes, I will be at the flea. As for the booth no., we are still pending the reply from the event organiser. Will let you guys know once I get it. Come down and support me if you are free! :D:D:D:D:D

2. Blading & Buffalo Wings.
Yes, I am finally going for the "so near yet so far" buffalo wings soon! :D Buffalo wings after blading sounds irony but who cares! :p

3. Movie Marathon.
Yes, something new. Never been on a movie marathon before. Hopefully none of us falls asleep and snores in the cinema. Hehe.

4. Yoga by the Sea.
You guys can check it out here. I wonder how it will be like but since they have asked me along, I reckon that it's gonna be quite fun. ^ ^ It will be at the East Coast Park.

5. Pending Trips!
Yes, trips in processing again. On the list are: Cameron Highlands, KL/Genting, Kukup.
Well, like I said, its pending trips. So everything's not confirmed yet. But I am quite looking forward to the Kukup trip though. Counting down in a foreign country while playing with firecrackers sounds very very interesting, esp when this is not at all available in Singapore. :p

Well of course, besides all these interesting thing, I think the most look forward thing will be the assignments and upcoming exams. I hope nothing goes wrong this semester again. At times, I really feel like giving up but when I think back, it's already halfway through. Die die also must hang on! Else I would have wasted money and effort for the past 1.5 years. Anyway... I am keeping my fingers crossed this time round. :) Jia you people.

Monday, September 07, 2009

Saw the doc on Friday and he said I have this hyperacidity. Boring. He wants to put me on medication so that the excess acid can be neutralise and reduce the no. of times I need to visit the toilet. Oh wells.. hopefully I won't have such an acidic stomach after this. >.<

Finally met up with my poly friends over the weekends, after so long. =) The meet up was great, well, at least it provided us with an update of what all of us are doing right now and how all of us are doing since we graduate from poly. Most of us are working and studying. Had steamboat dinner. Weekends was well spent, I guess. Met up with GCC-1. Haha. Headed to KTV, though its just 3 of us, I did enjoy myself. Especially after the climax of........ "蘭花草". :p

I've been contemplating if I should tell my "one and only normal" colleague that I have decided to move on, especially when she figured today that I have no SQL knowledge. She was damn surprised when I said I dont understand the query after she asked. She thought I had some background knowledge so I told her I only know those built-in functions in MS Access. But that was also so many years back, I have already thrown them to the back of my mind since I have never touched them during my course of work upon poly graduation. But after weighing the pros and cons, I have decided to keep mum abt my decision.

Seriously I must admit, it's real tough to get myself on track with programming again after so long, especially when programming or rather, IT stuff, is really not my cup of tea. I dont mind picking up the skills but, if it is to be applied to work and used daily, I think I would rather give it a miss. Maybe it is just an interest. >.<

Anyway, hopefully calls will start coming in soon and asking me to go for interviews etc. :)
Good luck to those who are on a job hunt too!

Wonder what is wrong with blogspot man.. the screw up layout is so irritating.

I've been pondering if i should hold on or move on and after the talk with my mum, I think I have kind of made a decision. I have given myself a month to try things out. It seems like it's real tough. Maybe I am just not used, maybe not so used to such an environment. Or is a month too short to really know if this is what I want?

I have no background knowledge of HTML coding, neither do I have background knowledge of CSS. I haven't touch any programming since I graduated from poly. It's real tough. I was told I just need to know simple html but I told them I only learn it for own use and prob its not even the basics and they were fine with it. But it seems otherwise.. Hmm.. Im so confused abt it lar.

Oh ya, I must talk abt the adventure to the "so near yet so far" buffalo wings. lol! 1 hr of waiting time for a table or 1 hr of waiting time for da bao-ing the wings was what we got after 1 hr of rounding. Goodness. I bet the wings there must be damn nice la! I really want to try! Shall go back there soon but MUST rem to make reservation man. And I must say, it was a HUGE sense of achievement when we finally got there. Haha. It was from East to West to East Camp and through so many ups and downs! *Winks Winks* That is probably the highlight of the day, apart from "The Proposal". :p

I bet Ms Blur's corner has been feeling rather lonely recently. Haha. Life has been very busy and good..
New school term, new job scopes, new environment, new colleagues and new projects & project mates..

I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be as busy everyday, as today. I prefer to have things to keep my busy. It's terrible having to think of what to do to keep myself awake and busy. I have to admit that I seriously think I am undergoing a big culture shock in this new company but I hope things will get better as time goes by. Not that I am regretting my decision of leaving SBF, just that it really takes loads of time for me to adapt to the total different environment. And yes, I do miss SBF. Miss the times I had there with the colleagues, the bosses, and to be frank, I even miss the job scopes there. :p

Project has finally come to an end and for this sem, I am left with individual assignments. Thank god. I had a terrible time handling that auntie who thinks without her brain. She can be the dumbest person I've ever liase with, as of now. It's really a torture to work with such people who cannot understand what team work means and the importance of teamwork. Being self centred and thinking that she is older and she knows all best does not help the project and in actual fact, she strained the relationship between us project mates by giving us all kinds of stupid stuns and actions. Anyway, I am glad it's over and done with the project. Let's just hope that I can pass this module without hiccups.

Last week was Jerm and Shimei's birthday. Had a celebration for SM and hope she likes the surprises and of course, the very special gift we have prepared for her. :p As for Jerm, I am glad that he likes the ppt. Nothing expensive, it's just a thought from us! XD

Once again.... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JERM AND SHIMEI!

I am kind of looking forward from now to next year. With the healthy regime coming up with LY and GCC, it definitely makes me feel "healthier" by a bit. Haha. :p The TBC trip next Jan when Jerm is back is also something that I am quite looking forward to! Yes Jerm, U DID NOT SEE THE WRONG THING. We are indeed planning already! Cheeriosss.

It's been awhile..

Let me whine about it pls..I just feel like penning it down..
Just an entry for you-know-who.

Yes, it has been quite awhile since we last met. 3 months or so I guess. I thought it was meant to be a joke when you mentioned about meeting up and so I continued with the joke. The next thing I knww was an sms from you saying that you would reach my place in 10 minute's time and you were already on the way. It's been awhile since you last waited for me, I remembered that I used to wait for you the past few times when we met. I was surprised seriously, and especially so when you really brought along drinks. No, not beer but you bought Snapple for me, even remembering which flavour I always drink. Saying sorry when you saw how shagged and tired I was, apologising for asking me out at the very last minute was something which I have never thought would come from you. This apology made me sense the seriousness, unlike the "sorrys" I used to hear.

It does bring back those memories when we used to meet to chat at the seaside near my place. However, this time round, the feeling is abit different. I do not know how to describe but I can feel it. I bet you too. I realised that I used to tell you everything, where I went, where I will be going and what I will be doing, etc. It seems that you were surprised that I went Melaka to celebrate my birthday without telling you and you even asked why did I not tell you. Isnt it very ironical? Many things happened in my life without you knowing, that is what I meant by "it takes 2 hands to clap". Do you not understand this phrase? Just one person contributing is not enough, it takes 2 to contribute in all kinds of relationship - friendship, kinship or love relationship.

The talk we had really enlightened me. It made me see our differences and probably let you have a better understanding of the real Su Ling, one whom you always thought that you knew her well. No, maybe not well enough.

I guess... it is afterall better that we let things remain this way.

High 翻天

I had a real enjoyable trip to Melaka from 17 - 19 July 09 and really enjoyed myself loads and to the max! Laughters, tears, bonding, HTHTDD, what have you. ^^ Of course, not forgetting the many many surprises that this lovely 7 people had given me. I LTDD LA! =)

It's too long an entry to post on what we have done in Melaka, in short its eat, sleep, chat, laugh, walk and play. Anything you can think of, we have done it. Though there were hiccups here and there for some of them during the trip, I believe they will overcome the obstacles they are facing now and move on people! :)

One week after my melaka trip was my last week at SBF. To be precise, last Friday was my last day at SBF. The feeling is kind of upset but yet happy that I am moving. Upset to part with some real nice colleagues whom I have made friends with during my stint with SBF and shall keep in touch with them. Wells, since I have moved on, then I should not be regretting my decision right? *Nods*

Our dear Jerm flew back to Aussie ytd and we had a great chill out night on Friday. The peeps picked me up after my class and off we went to Dempsey Hill DOME cafe, Marine Barrage, Henderson Waves, etc. It was nice but all of us were KO by the time we are about to head home. We wore striking colours to send him off on Sat, hopefully this has left a deep impression in his heart. Haha! We took effort to discuss on our colour theme u know, Jerm! =p

Anyway, went to Summer Breeze to chill and had dinner with GCC. I really love the place! The music is nice and they all said I was high on Mango Juice. :D It was a great chillout location, of course with the great companions! Oh did I mention, I love GCC too, especially their impromptu-ness! ^^ Jurong Hill was next on the itinerary and off we went! The view is superb and the air was very fresh! :) I think i prefer Jurong Hill to Marina Barrage. Anyway lastly, it was Mcdonalds Breakfaat! I got home at around 9plus am.. It has definitely set a new record in Su Ling's book of Guiness Record. Haha! Surprisingly, my dad didnt nag at me! Maybe he knows that I am on a week's break and just want to let me have some enjoyment time. Hehehehe. And i want to say.... I REALLY HAD A BLASTFUL AND ENJOYABLE JULY!

Anyway, tmr is the start of my first day of the one week break. I shall make full use of it by doing the project. Else, not too sure how things will be like once my new job start. Till then peeps!

It's gonna be an eventful July 09

I've done it, now left with almost 3 weeks in SBF. I used to think that a month is pretty long, in fact its rather short. 3 more weeks to go. Did my final major event last wednesday. Pretty cool as it involved Minister Khaw. The turnout was great, they were satisfied with my "performance" and script for the day and for the first time in my 2 yrs here, I was praised. Isn't it very irony? Getting praised while serving my one month notice in SBF. *roll eyes*

"OMG. How am I going to survive without you gals? Pengs"

was the email that myself and Dap got from Ching. Isn't it abit too late to realise that your considerably good staff is leaving and you have a blur sotong on board to replace them? Not that both of us are very good but I would say we are considered... better compared to the newbies, in a way as we can work independently? Maybe.

I always thought I am quite cool with resigning from SBF, as compared to Dap, somehow I was proven wrong. 2 years may nt be long, but I think I have grown attached to the company and my colleagues (friends) there. As much as I feel like staying on, I guess its time to move on to try out other things. But I think I still have the passion for events, maybe that will come in after my studies. *Still thinking about it*

In any case, we will both be embarking on a new chapter in our career life (for Dap) or maybe job (for me). I wouldnt consider the switch as a career, more like a job. Probably a career will come in after the completion of my studies. :)

That aside, this July is gonna be quite an interesting month.

4 Jul - Bday celebration for Bang
12 Jul - Meet up with Jerm and gang for a one day fun @ sentosa, lunch/dinner, ktv?
17 - 19 Jul - Melaka trip with the same gang
25 Jul - One day Msia trip with my SBF mates

Basically every weekend is packed with events. I am so so looking forward to the Melaka trip where we will HTHTDD~! =D

I think I had better make full use of my July before sch and new job begins, especially during that one week break I will be having before my new job starts to recharge and get ready for the new challenges ahead!

Outdated + Up-to-date Pictures

Nothing much to update recently. Exams over, KL trip is over too.
Just some outdated pictures and the bday celebration for Chris, Mei Hua and Dennis at Villa Bali. The place was quite nice with good atmosphere but I wouldnt recommend it when we are facing such bad weather these days as it is non air-conditioned! Hehehehe.

And I am so looking forward to July, to our very own overseas "chalet" and party! Haha. =)

Brief Update + Random

Exams are over, Malaysia trips are over too.
Really hope that I can at least scrap through the papers for this sem.

Had enjoyed myself alot during this short KL trip. Im glad milo managed to mingle well with zann and jo. :) Walked, shopped, eat, sing & fun throughout the whole trip even though its a short 3 days trip. Shopped till I dropped. LOL. Shall upload the photos when im free.

Sometimes I wonder what motivates on in the job. Maybe I should put OB into practice and find the first step once again? I think im starting to get tired already, where's the motivation and spark previously? Beats me.

I guess the added responsibilities given are not of any help. They are more of job enlargement which I personally do not really prefer. What makes it worst is my new colleague has reached the brim of my tolerance level. I wonder when the neck will burst. I think I have been quite tolerant and patient but there is a limit to one's tolerance level and patience? We shall see.

And to be honest, if any opportunity comes along, I will gladly accept it with both hands as long as it is something that I want. *Patiently waiting*

Super Long Weekend

2days of MC + 1 P.H + 1 weekend = super long weekend

Yup, I had a super long weekend. Haha. Gastri flu + flu + fever came to look for me.

*In danger of Swine Flu*

Anyway, I took the med and still headed Genting with my parents as I didnt want to waste money since the tickets were already bought. This trip is definitely so different from my previous trips there. We were adventurous enough to take the cable car and subsequently public transport to KL Sentral and took the KTM from there to go to Midvalley.

Guess who was the "leader" who led them to KL? It was me! LOL.

So adventurous right? My dad suggested it and all of them were game for it.. so tada.. there we go. Each of us have a role. I was like their "eyes", telling them the directions, my dad and uncle were the ushers and my aunt was the secretariat for the trip. My mum, Xuanhui and Justin were the group members. Haha. The cable car ride and KTM ride in KL was a real eye-opener for me. It's afterall my first time taking their KTM. It was a long tiring trip coz we walked alot!

Anyway back to Genting, had some unhappiness there coz of some stupid male M. Stepped on me, spilled drinks on me and waited for me to apologise. I did so since I was in their country. But that stupid piece of shit scolded "F***" even though I apologised. I was basically steaming hot and on fire. They were just damn rude, crude, no manners and whatever you can think of. The whole group of 12 at least, sat at the table meant for 4 and they blocked all the pathways in the small Marybrown Restaurant. That M must have did what he did to me, thinking that they are big in numbers. Seriously I hope they were in Singapore man, then they will know what manners and courtesy are. Come here and I shall screw you upside down with my words and demand that you apologise to me.

Anyways, overall the trip was fine apart from that fuming incident with the stupid male M. Coming up next will be to complete my ECA, exams and KL trip with Jo, Zann and Milo! :)

Till then!

Finally its over and done with

Im glad all the shit with project mates are over and done with. This is the first time I felt so pissed off with a project mate. Imagine near 10 calls in an hr and umpteen no. of SMSes in an hr? It is a horror and torture man. She called and called and smsed nonstop to chase myself and milo for our parts when it has already been sent to her and she said we did wrongly without even taking a 2nd look at the figures we provide.

I wonder why such people exist. I really wonder. I wouldnt have felt so disgusted if she had done her part for the project. Probably by chasing people to do their parts and some of hers, is what she meant by "I has done my part". *Speechless*

When I thought the worst was over, my other groupmate dropped me another bombshell. He didnt noe what is meant by citation and what is meant by reference listing. Well done. He reminds me of another Nicholas Thomas(my law proj mate the other time). Totally. He even argued to imply that I am being demanding for wanting something which is not important. I wonder which part of referencing is not important. *Puzzled*

Anyway, this weekend is a stressful and tiring one. Finally over. Lucky I sneaked out for a movie with LY at CWP. Shinjuku Incident was quite nice. but the weird structure of the chairs at Cathay made both of us "young aunties" backache. Haha. :p

Life is real unpredictable

I am supposed to be hard at work on my assignments now but I really feel like penning down some overwhelming thoughts on my mind.

She passed on today. I used to dislike her family but feel sorry for my aunt. She has slogged hard for the family and was the sole breadwinner. In order to feed her family, she travelled all the way to Tuas as early as 4plus in the morning to work.. But sometimes, people as just not appreciative of her. Her children took her for granted, have not woken up to their senses and often did stupid things to hurt my aunt even though they are all past 30.

I felt quite upset when I saw her just nw. She was sleeping soundly. She must be real tired and have given up on struggling to keep herself awake. Just 2 weeks ago, she dreamt of my uncle, who had already passed on, asking her to play mahjong and when she reject, my uncle persuaded her to go play and said that they are going to a faraway place to play mahjong, not going home anymore.

It kind of struck me, was it a call for her? Maybe my uncle knew that she was really tired. As much as I dislike the family, it was really upsetting to see her sleeping so soundly on the bed. 有点心酸吧. Everything happened too sudden and it's abit difficult for everyone to accept the fact that she's gone as she is always the very healthy and strong aunt. She will be missed.

No worries, I am doing fine. Just feel abit sad over it. Thanks all.
Work and school has been very busy and stressful.
Pls allow me to grumble in the this entry. =x

Was out with the girls yesterday for a lunch, dinner and shopping trip. It was also to celebrate PM's bday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PEI MEI!!

Though there wasnt much celebration to say, I hope you had a great chill out session with us. :)

It was nice just to have a simple day out, perhaps with the right company. This long weekend will be a good time for me complete my assignments and get ready for the flea market tomorrow!~

Having assignments due on the same day is no fun. What makes it worst is to have an irritating groupmate who bugs me everyday. I guess there should be some faith in your groupmate that she will have the responsibility to complete her tasked part on time, thus need not remind her everyday without fail. Be it call or sms. Anyway some people simply dont have that kind of faith and trust in her own groupmate. But I dont blame her, for we only met for this module and to be exact, we will only be meeting 3 times for the whole duration of this module. Just that I feel that there is no need to add undue stress to anyone by bugging them everyday abt the project.

Ok, shall stop grumbling. People, I will be having flea market at the void deck tomorrow! So come support me at Block 547 , Woodlands Drive 16. It is near to Vista Point and the church. :) Come check us out!

Came across this song, I thought it is quite meaningful.. =)
Updates

Havent really been updating this blog. It has been very tiring to work, school and maintain the online store but I think I will pull through it! Things have started to pick up already, so hopefully I can "see the light" soon!

Will be participating in a flea market on 12 April, that will be The SOS very first flea market. Kind of look forward to it even though it will only be a neighbourhood flea market. =) Thought of a few ideas, will be putting them in actions next saturday! =P

Had a lazy and nice Saturday yesterday.. Started my day from 9plus with my mum and aunt to meeting Wanmei for SOS stuff and then LY for a catching up session! It was really nice to have a simple dinner and then just purely doing catching up to update each other's life. I guess we both need to give each other sometime to digest, think through and understand those small little gestures before accepting or making any decisions. =)

Alright, till the next time I update! =)

Back from Genting!

Yup... Im back. The trip with 38 peeps was nice. =)

Had many many fun and laughter. Taking the exciting theme park rides at 8am in the morning without any sleep the previous night was indeed a new thing for me. And i supposed it was also a new thing for the 38 peeps too. Haha!! I think I screamed my lungs out when I took the roller coaster. Sharing room with Ms Tan and rotting/chilling with the guys next door was fun. =)

Taken when Ms Tan was bathing.. =x

The hotel staff at First World was nice. Thanks to the blur me and Ms Tan, we actually locked our stuff in the hotel room and exited via the guys' room (it was a connecting room). And we only realised it after many hours when we were back from the walking around and all.. The hotel staff actually helped us to unlash the lock which we had locked from inside and he sweated so much..

Anyway.. Munchkin was nice. Thankful we didnt waste money buying that card game previously. It was also the reason why we didnt have enough sleep on the last night of our stay there.

People always say "Good buy, Best buy, Must buy! ".. I think its really true. Usually people will spend their money in casino.. but ironically.. we spent money on clothes there. Esp. Ms Tan! =x But it was a real good deal, I would say. FCUK, Mango, etc. Where to get their clothes at such good price of less than SGD$20/top to SGD$30/dress?? Thanks to the branded sale signage which caught our supersonic eyes.

Good things must share right? Here's a nice view of Genting(with fresh air?). The picture was taken somewhere near to the "coach interchange", so I supposed the air there is not as fresh afterall.

Back to reality again. Sobs. War is starting from tomorrow onwards. >.<

True or Not True? Hmm...

Your view on yourself:

You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:

You like privacy very much because you enjoy spending time with your own thoughts. You like to disappear when you cannot find solutions to your own problems, but you would feel better if you learned to share your thoughts with a person you trust.

完美的句号

他说我们总算是画上一个完美的句号。

真的很完美吗?或许吧。。

我想也是时候画下着句号吧。。:)

Let's move on. Gals, we can do it and will do so together!
I am thankful that the girls are around and there for me during this period of time.
Love them lots lots. *Muacks*

It's time to 画悲愤为力量。=)

真的好累

I havent felt this for a long time. It always happen when I thought things were going fine. I thought I will feel tired only when im struggling with school and work. Never did I know these are only physical and probably a slight tweeny bit of mental tiredness..

The real mental challenge has just started. After the 2 msg long sms I received, I really feel so so -ve -ve -ve to the max. I text back.. how i felt too. I felt the need to talk it out, seriously. It's been within me for too long and it's beginning to distract me more and more as things complicate. And I know, its distracting me. It doesnt help when the person keeps avoiding the problem.. and thinks that it is not at all an issue.

I also know its quite stupid to hang on and hold on to something which I know is leading nowhere. But everytime when I want to let go, it just comes back. Just like what Lena said, my decision is never final and the whole cycle will just repeat and repeat..

I really need to sort out my thinking to make myself feel better...
Or probably I shall just leave it as it is to test my patience. >.<

Updates

The week wasnt exactly fantastic but I guess the "crazy weekend" made up for the unpleasant incidents during the week. Had a real pleasant surprise on Friday. =) May not be a very expensive gift, but still.. It's the thoughts that count. Heehee.
The pleasant surprise. =)
Did it come as a belated vday gift? *ponders*

Had an advanced bday celebration for our dear Caryn and Marcus. Hope they enjoyed themselves.. heehee.. though its just a simple dinner gathering, followed by the KTV session. =p (Jerm... I will upload video for u okie? Dun sobz. Hee) We had a "mini theme" for this exchange. That was to bring along flowers for exchange.

Check out the flowers I made for the exchange! haha.. Miss Blur is really so blur. She thought have to make flowers for everyone.. In the end.. the rule was that the flower could be bought or handmade and only one is needed for the "flower exchange"! Haha. The blur her made 6 bouquets of small flower for everyone and a bottle of flowers for the exchange.
*roll eyes*

After the tired night and completion of the OB group project, energy level currently super low @ 10%. Will update again ya. =) Till then!

For you.

I am thankful that you were there.
I am thankful that you sms-ed and called me.
I am thankful that you showed care and concern.
I am thankful that you accompanied me on the phone till I am tired when I wasn't feeling too good.

"When you grow up, you'll think more sensibly."

Your sentence knocked some sense into me, seriously. You should know why. And to the person I am thankful to.. you know who you are, though chances are slim that you might come by. :)

Happy Belated Valentines' day to all!!

Had a celebration with 38 gang, steamboat at bugis and games at games haven. Quite nice, I think the game haven environment is better than emax! but i think i still prefer rock band.. lol.. easier to play..

Just realised yesterday that it's really so pressurised to drive a car which does not belong to me or my family members! It makes it worst when the person beside me was half gone and the car belongs to him. ~.~

On a side note.. I guess its true to say I do feel abit blessed even if things were to remain as it is now. Its the first vday which we actually met up! And i think got us slightly closer coz I saw a real different side of him. Anyways..... Time to do my project. Till my next update! =)

New Look!

missblur's corner finally has a new look! :D
Im supposed to be doing my assignment but i've been procrastinating~!! >.<

-prooFz-
Overwhelming Week

First of all, all the best to Jermyn! Went to the airport earlier on to send him off. We did a collage and developed a photo for him, had initially wanted him to bring over but wells, he couldnt bring wood in... Could feel the tweeny bit of his heartache and anxiety when he hugged all of us but hang on dude! It just the beginning of your new chapter in life, you can do it! =)

Had a chill out session with YH, Caryn and PM at Summer Breeze at Pasir Ris Park after sending Jerm off, thumbs up! Really like that place, I think its even better than Timbre! Relaxing by the seaside while chatting with your friends and admiring the stars above you, nice isnt it? Oh ya, there's live band and music being played at the pub. Let's go there some other days again!

Had a farewell session last Sunday for Jerm and it was a real nice gathering for all of us. I bet we all enjoyed it. (Refer videos on facebook! =p Will upload the rest when i get them.. Heehee) For now, check out some of these photos first..! The farewell session basically marked the beginning of my busy week, finally ended. *Phew*

Assignments, quizes and group projects are coming.. *stressed* This sem modules are killing me, especially the Econs. *keeping my fingers crossed*Please let me know if you are good in Econs, I think I would need to seek "professional advice"!
